Nato a Treviso l'11 agosto 1889, ARTURO MARTINI è stato un protagonista dell'arte italiana tra le due Grandi Guerre.

Artista poliedrico, è conosciuto principalmente per le sue formidabili sculture, create utilizzando una grande varietà di materiali.

Martini ha esposto le sue opere nelle più grandi rassegne d'arte italiane ed estere, condividendo la scena con artisti di fama mondiale come Amedeo Modigliani, Umberto Boccioni, Carlo Carrà, e Giorgio De Chirico. Ha vinto numerosi riconoscimenti tra cui il leggendario primo premio alla scultura conquistato alla I Quadriennale di Roma del 1931.

E' morto a Milano il 22 marzo 1947 a soli 57 anni.

E' considerato da molti storici dell'arte come il più importante scultore italiano del XX secolo.

Born in Treviso on August 11, 1889, ARTURO MARTINI was a protagonist of Italian art between the two World Wars.

Multifaceted artist, he is mainly known for his formidable sculptures, created using a large variety of materials.

Martini exhibited his works in the most important Italian and international art exhibitions, sharing the scene with world-renowned artists such as Amedeo Modigliani, Umberto Boccioni, Carlo Carrà, and Giorgio De Chirico. He won numerous awards including the legendary first Prize for Sculpture at the Rome Quadriennale in 1931.

He died in Milan on March 22, 1947 at the age of 57.

He is considered by many art historians to be the most important Italian sculptor of the twentieth century.
